The Economist weekly US issue App Reviews

Ive subscribed to The Economist for some 15 years since college. No other publication offers the concisely-written news and analysis articles that cover politics, business, technology, science and arts from every corner of the world. Its iPhone applications is clean, well organized and works well.

The subject says it all.

Best thing to happen to the smart phone

Previous versions of this app were very flaky at downloading and would experience crashes. With recent updates I have not experienced any problems and would actually recommend the app now.

The app is dope. Very dope.

The latest issue will not download!!!!!!

Had an issue with the app not letting me sign into my subscription. Called tech support who was very friendly and got me sorted out. Just had to delete the magazines tile (icon) within Newsstand and re-download The Economist from the App Store. Dont know why I didnt think of it... Works great now and of course the magazine is the best, smartest publication Ive found.

This is a great app. I enjoy the audio version where British people read the stories to you. I listen to it every morning.

One app that just works like its supposed to. Even though I subscribe to the print edition, I usually read it on my iPad or iPhone two days before the print edition arrives in my mailbox. Besides their very obvious anti-gun bias, their reporting for the most part is fair and in-depth.

All the app is supposed to do, and it does it.

Browse the articles, make a playlist of the ones you want to listen to, and listen on your commute. This app makes a subscription worth it, just for the audio.

Anyone that is on the move will appreciate the audio recordings of the articles. I think the app is great.

Easiest to use of all the many magazine and newspaper apps that I use. It is brilliantly done.

The Economist is miles ahead of most other apps. The audio that can be downloaded and listened to anywhere is amazing. I listen on the train during my morning and evening commutes. The articles help me to feel a connection to current affairs all over the world. I love the international scope and willingness to look beyond spin and propaganda.

Love the Economist and the app is great. It just works really well. Definitely worth installing.

This app makes it easy to read on the small screen and the larger iPad screen. Best magazine format Ive found. The fact that its a great way to keep up with international news is the real reason to get it. Great all around.
